Meat processor Thomas Foods is selling the 5,728ha horticulture property, which has a High Security water entitlement for the Darling River.

The investment was made from 8 Miles’ first fund, Fund I A, which closed in August 2013 on roughly $200 million, sources confirmed to Agri Investor.

The fund will focus on own-and-operate properties growing kiwi fruit, apples and wine grapes.

China Resources Ng Fung has also developed an agent and distribution business for imported foods in China, and will work with New Zealand company Scales to improve its position as an exporter tin the country.
